Seems that British Columbians are fed up with minority governments holding majority power . . . .

61 per cent of British Columbians believe that a system that more closely reflects parties' actual popular vote would increase voter turnout — meaning B.C. would be more likely to have minority governments in the future.

Which type of proportional representation?

On the second question in the referendum, a mixed-member proportional system (MMP) was the clear favourite with 49 per cent in support.

I just don’t understand why I can’t have the best qualified candidate be my MP/MLA because another party had a bigger percentage in a different riding. Keep in mind I’m from a riding that had Elsie Wayne as an MP because of who she was over party. Now with Wayne Long who also is there because of who he is more than die to his party.
