Not sure I understand what you mean by policy towards 1st peoples (Don't you
mean Indians)

Where I grew up, the local indians received (and still do) a $25,000 bursary
when they turned 18, they enjoyed tax exempt status and got a hugely reduced
rate on any college or university they wanted to go to.

Jeez, I wish the government would discriminate against me.
